According to many studies conducted in 2010, sitting with your legs crossed for prolonged hours can lead to a remarkable increase in the blood pressure and therefore increase your risks of developing high-pressure issues as well as circulatory disorders.
Studies explain that when you actually sit in such position and place one leg over the other, too much blood will be sent to the chest, resulting in a larger quantity of blood being pumped out of the heart, which automatically causes high blood pressure.
Studies also clarify that high blood pressure can possibly occur when you tend to remain still in one position and your joints don’t move and your muscles don’t change in length, which in return increases the resistance to the blood flow.
