Big Bend National Park and Everglades National park are two naturally rich spots to visit. They’re literally vast natural sites with all sorts and kinds of species from gigantic creatures to tiniest insects.

A wonderful place to explore, but with little grain of salt as viruses will find their way to you through the prevalent insects there. One of the most popular diseases in the U.S is Lyme disease. According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, Lyme disease is transmitted through a bite of blacklegged ticks.

These ticks are already infected from Bacterium burgdorferi. If you have ever felt to be infected, you need to check in with your doctor and have the necessary tests. The good news is that it is a curable disease within a few weeks.

The symptoms unfolding the infection are fever, skin rash, headache, and fatigue. If the treatment was not received in due time, the symptoms will include joints pains, plus having heart and nervous system affected. Healing Lyme or treating it is done by taking antibiotics in the early stages of infection.

The prevention method is as known the usage of a bug or insect repellent, try to cover as much you can of your body by wearing long sleeves, long pants and preferable clothing with neutral colors.
