Your grip strength can tell quite a lot about your health. For instance, your doctor can easily tell if you have any hidden issues by measuring how hard it is for you to grasp something. In fact, each 11-pound decrease in the strength of your grip can reveal a 16% higher risk of dying soon.
That’s not everything as the same decrease in grip strength was found to be associated with a 17% risk of dying from heart disease and another 9% higher risk of dying from a stroke.
