As you grow older, the collagen that preserves the elasticity of the skin starts to degrade, so it grows thinner, the pores become large, the blood vessels become visible, and you get those glorious wrinkles. She must have been preparing since her early 20s to keep her skin healthy and youthful.  In Asian countries like China, you can 40-year-old women who look like they’re in their mid-twenties, and it is all thanks to the country’s cultural influence on skincare routine.  How to slow down aging? Here are five ways Chinese women take care of their skin, so try them all, and you’ll look 25 for a long time!

1. Drink plenty of water

One of the top hacks for healthy skin that Chinese women follow is simple: drinking plenty of water! Well, I’m not telling you to get water intoxication and exhaust your kidneys! But how much water should you drink a day? Just get the recommended 2 liters, or half a gallon, of water per day to keep your organs functioning well and your skin hydrated. Drinking enough water every day improves your skin complexion and keeps it glowing. Even if it’s winter and you don’t feel like drinking water, you should always drink water!

2. Drink more green tea

Tea drinking has been an indispensable part of Chinese culture for centuries, and it turns out that Chinese women use it as an elixir of youth. Green tea is rich in antioxidants, such as catechins and polyphenols, that destroy free radicals and slow down the aging process. Drinking green tea every day will fight saggy skin, fine lines, and (you guessed it) wrinkles, keeping your skin firm and youthful. You can also apply green tea topically for great results!

3. Add seaweed to your diet

Seaweed is excellent anti-aging food and is widely found in skincare products. Seaweed promotes collagen production and keeps the skin young and wrinkle-free, and Chinese women are making the most of these perks!
