This might not be convincing, but sleeping in an unfamiliar place and a strange bed can trigger a condition of sleep paralysis. This is due to the fact that your mind’s mode of vigilance becomes super active.

This is normal, for it tries to expect anything to happen. So you could be parallelized and experience terrible hallucinations, inclusive of imagining someone, trying to harm you.

If you are traveling abroad on vacation, try to familiarize yourself with the place where you will be spending the night and calm down. First nights are always hard, so keep things under control!

Sleep paralysis is a scary experience, especially when the attacked person has never had such an episode before. Stress, exhaustion, disorders and other mental and psychological issues can increase the chances of being sleep-parallelized. So look for how to reduce stress, exhaustion and deal with our disorder properly.
