#9 – Chewing Gum
Gum is not an actual source of gas, but chewing it is! Chewing gum can easily cause you to swallow too much air. Moreover, multiple sugar-free gums are sweetened using sugar alcohols which are difficult to digest, such as xylitol, mannitol, and sorbitol.
In case you burp too often, it’s recommended that you stop chewing gum completely to reduce gas. And if you’re just chewing gum to freshen your breath, try a mint instead to avoid the uncomfortable side effects.
