The agricultural passion to produce food-based Biofuel caused displacement of people globally and raised the prices of food.

The need to produce more food-based Biofuels created a global competition over the land; small farmers could not win or even compete against these big companies which made it impossible for them even to maintain their own property. Presently, less than 5 corporations control 47% of ethanol production in the U.S.
