Limited food access may lead to obesity and many diet-related diseases that are hard to treat. This is actually a worldwide issue, and surprisingly, in the United States, 15% of households don’t have much access to food, and 29 million Americans live in areas that have no markets or not a single food supplier within 10 miles of their houses.

Moreover, economic barriers, limited mobility, and a lack of fresh food options are preventing many low-income families from getting affordable and healthy food, promoting unhealthy eating habits. International corporations must take an action to develop local and regional markets and attempt to increase food accessibility to such areas.
