Alopecia Areata, also known as spot baldness is an autoimmune skin disease that makes the hair fall out a lot. Basically, the immune system of the body starts attacking the hair follicles, which leads to circular bald patches. If it didn’t get treated, the spots will connect and create a snake-like pattern.
What to do: visiting your doctor is a must in this case. He/she will prescribe cortisone injections with hair re-growth products and topical steroids.
