The 2nd most common cancer in women and the most common overall is breast cancer. Many people don’t know that men can develop it as well, but it is not as common.

Breast cancer takes its time developing, which gives us plenty of time to detect it. Regular self-examination and mammograms can identify it quickly before it becomes invasive.

However, there are many women diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer that is still alive 5 years after detecting it, which means it is a very survive-able cancer, and also, the number of deaths has dropped to 22% with patients who are in stage IV.

The hardest type of cancer to diagnose is pancreatic cancer, which makes it extremely deadly. If only it can be detected early, there will be an easy way to treat it. But sadly, it has the 5th highest death rate, the 11th most common type of cancer, and the survival rate is 6% only.

Pancreatic cancer spreads very fast while causing too much pain, and adding to the fact it is hard to be diagnosed, there are still no good screening tests.

To avoid developing this disease, you need to limit your alcohol use, stop smoking, control blood sugar, and lose weight.
