Acanthosis nigricans is a common sign of prediabetes. It is characterized by the appearance of dark spots on the skin of the neck, armpit, knees, knuckles, or groin (these dark spots can appear anywhere in your body, but they occur more often in these body parts). The skin also becomes thicker, with a velvety feel to the touch, and in some cases, it might have a weird smell. [ads shortcode=”td_responsive”]
