Washing your hands regularly is the easiest (and also important) way to kill germs and prevent them from traveling to our faces and other body parts. But you may still get sick even though you wash your hands.
Carolyn Forte, director of a Cleaning Lab, says most people forget to wash their thumbs. Not washing your thumbs properly can easily make you sick because these fingers usually touch some of the dirtiest items we use every day, such as the remote control, cell phone, and keyboard. So start paying more attention to your thumbs.
