Allergies are often the culprits behind watery eyes.
If you’re allergic to pet dander, pollen, fumes, or mites, etc., your eyes may get itchy, red, and watery. Your eyes produce more tears in such situations in an attempt to get rid of the allergen and relieve you from itching.
Normally, your eyes get better with allergy treatment, so try your best not to rub them despite the annoying itchiness as that tends to make the situation even worse by causing them to sting or burn.
