I Know That this is really worrying but I have some good news. Since over-sitting is another way of saying ‘’live fast, die young’’, you can increase your life expectancy by reducing the number of ‘’excessive sitting’’.

According to a study conducted in July 2012 in BMJ Open, by reducing the over-sitting to less than 3 hours a day, you are actually increasing your chances of living up to 1.4 years. So, no matter what it is the reason behind your long sitting hours, you’d better quit this deadly habit before it’s too late.

If this is quite impossible because of your job’s nature, try to stretch every now and then or maybe move and walk a bit over the office but just don’t freeze on that chair.

However, if over-sitting is because of your lazy character, then you’d better move your butt and do something healthy instead of sitting on that sofa for hours, devouring popcorn and watching movies. Your life is your choice! Make a wise one!
