Snacking when not hungry

When you start to lose touch with the natural hunger of your body, you will be at risk of overeating and gaining extra unhealthy weight, which will also put you at risk for heart disease, diabetes, and many other serious conditions. If the snacks you reach for are junk foods, then you are fueling your body with the wrong ingredients.

The way to fix it is easy; just eat when you physically feel hungry, and not because you are bored, sad, angry or stressed. In case you really feel like eating, then opt for healthy snacks. At least you would be boosting nutrition in your body, avoiding energy slumps, and controlling cravings.

Sitting too much in front of the TV

Watching TV means spending a good time, but it also means having less physical activity, increasing your chances of getting overweight and developing type 2 diabetes. We are not saying you should stop watching TV for good, but spend more time doing other activities than sitting in front of it.

It is best to hang out with friends, exercising your mind, dancing in your room, or doing anything that will make you burn calories. Decrease the time you spend in front of the TV to two hours per day, and increase the time you are exercising.

You should at least walk for 30 minutes. Otherwise, do set-ups when you are watching the TV… we all long to get the best of both worlds like Hannah Montana anyway.
