According to the American Heart Association, people who suffer from diabetes or high blood sugar are most likely to find blood spots in the eyes, which are known as a subconjunctival hemorrhage.
However, although the two medical conditions are linked with these spots, they don’t really cause them, and that’s another reason to visit your eye doctor and make sure all is good. Of course, don’t forget to check your blood tests in order to save your body early on.
