Racing heartbeats can be an obvious sign of a blood clot! What really happens is that when a person is suffering from a blood clot at the level of the lungs, he or she may experience a flutter in the chest due to the shortness of breath.
The latter can eventually lead to a health condition known as tachycardia, which occurs when the heart rates exceed 100 beats per minute trying to make up for the shortage.
